Whether you like enjoy gourmet chocolates, indulgent cakes or maybe some premium matured cheeses, you really can have your cake and eat it at this year’s new healthy living event, Vegfest Scotland…
Vegfest are offering advance tickets on a buy one get one free basis until November 15th, and on a buy one get one half price basis until December 3rd.
You might think that all these indulgent foods are made with dairy but believe it or not, if you’re giving animal products a swerve, or you’re just veggie-curious, you can enjoy all of this and more at Vegfest Scotland. This prestigious event takes place at the SEC Centre in Glasgow in December, and is organised by VegfestUK, who have run the biggest and most successful vegan events in Europe for over a decade, with weekend shows at London Olympia, Brighton and Bristol. The Scotland show is already shaping up nicely and looks to be a permanent fixture in the calendar for years to come, with around 140 stalls and near to 10,000 visitors attending.
The inaugural Vegfest Scotland includes ethical fashion, food and beauty, Christmas gifts, cookery demos, kids cookery classes, family entertainment and live music. Special guests include, musician, author, TV presenter, pundit and journalist, John Robb, Strongman, Patrik Baboumian and model and CEO of K-9 Angels Rescue, Victoria Eisermann.
Gillie Food will be providing their unique range of Oriental dishes including ‘Duck’, ‘Pork’, and sweet and sour. Brownins Caribbean Food will be offering their unique range of flavours from the global African and Caribbean experience, including: the Veggibab (instead of kebab) wraps, Veggie patties, salad buffets, and other main cultural dishes. Henderson’s, Mono Cafe Bar, Pitfield Brewery, Stereo Cafe Bar, The 78 Cafe Bar, The Flying Duck
and St Best Caribbean Caterers will also be serving up an exquisite range of vegan fayre.
Plus there will be lots of free healthy food samples to try including fully matured gourmet cheeses from Tyne Chease, strong melting cheeses from Vegusto, cakes from Missy’s Vegan Cupcakes, indulgent chocolates from Considerit Chocolate, and many more.
The show also features entertaining cookery demos from Vegan Society chef and co-founder of Shambhu’s Catering, Nishma Shah and a Living Raw Prep Zone featuring wholefood consultant and author, Ellie Bedford and health coach, Faith Canter, amongst others.
Vegfest are offering advance tickets on a buy one get one free basis until November 15th, and on a buy one get one half price basis until December 3rd.
